What we collect, and why
When you book a workshop through our Google Form, we collect:
- Full name and email address — to confirm your booking and communicate with you about it
- Workshop selection, preferred date and time — to schedule your session
- Number of participants and t-shirt sizes per guest — to prepare materials in advance
- Any comments, special requests, or questions you write in — please avoid including sensitive information (health conditions, allergies, etc.) here unless it’s relevant to your booking; if you do share it, we use it only to accommodate your visit safely
We store information in Google Forms/Google Sheets under our Google account, and we don’t sell or share it with unrelated third parties.
Payments
Stripe processes deposits or workshop fees paid in advance. We do not see or store your full card details — Stripe handles that directly. See Stripe’s own privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy for how they handle payment data.
Clients pay add-ons (extra ink colors, fabric items, etc.) on-site, in cash or via Stripe. So, we will need to collect data if necessary for theese additional payment.
Photos and video
During workshops, we may take photos or short videos for use on our website or social media (e.g. Instagram). If you prefer to not be photographed, or want a photo removed after the fact, just let us know. We’ll accommodate that either in advance or afterward.
Minors
Children or teenagers might attend workshops as part of a family booking. We only collect the minimal information needed to run the session (t-shirt size, participant count) for any guest, including minors, and we rely on the booking adult’s consent to share that information on their behalf.
Who we share data with
- Google (Forms/Sheets), for storing booking requests
- Stripe, for processing advance payments
We don’t share your information with any other third party, and we don’t sell data.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to fulfill your workshop. Moreover, we keep them for our tax/accounting obligations under Japanese law. Japan generally requires us to keep our business records for 7 years. After that, we delete or anonymize these unless we must keep them for legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See what information we hold about you
- Correct it
- Delete it (except for legal/accounting reasons)

If you’re located in the EU/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. As a Japan-based business, we also handle personal data in line with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
Cookies / tracking
Our website currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we’ll update this policy and, where legally required, ask for your consent first.
International guests
Most of our guests are visiting from outside Japan. By booking with us, you transfer your information (name, email, etc.) to Japan and we store it in Japan, where our business operates.
